Therapists in the US, UK and Australia
Therapists who understand that service shapes a life, and a family.
Browse therapists who list support for veterans, service members and military families. Each profile also shows their other areas of practice.
By topic
What would you like to talk about?
There is no wrong place to start. Choose whatever feels closest; the number shows how many therapists here list that topic.
Service, work and what comes next
Leaving service, starting again in civilian work, money, purpose, and the changes that come with each stage of life.
Hard experiences and heavy feelings
Things you saw or went through, low mood, anger, guilt, loss, and feeling cut off from the people around you.
Stress, sleep and the body
Worry that will not switch off, poor sleep, pain or injury, and habits such as drinking or gambling that have become hard to manage.
Partners, children and home
Time apart and coming back, talking with a partner, raising children, and looking after someone else.
Profiles
Some of the therapists listed
Every profile sets out credentials, experience, focus areas and ways of working, so you can compare people side by side.
By location
Where therapists are based
Sessions take place online, so location mostly matters for how a therapist's credentials work. Browse by the country or US state shown on each profile.

Before you choose
Good to know
- You do not need to have served
- Partners, children, parents and carers of people who serve or have served are welcome to look here too. So is anyone who simply wants to look up a therapist by name.
- A listed focus area is not proof of specialist training
- Every therapist here lists veteran and armed forces issues among their focus areas, and each profile shows everything else they work with. If military experience or a particular approach matters to you, ask about it.
- Therapy is support, not a diagnosis
- Therapy gives you regular time to talk things through with someone trained to listen. No profile can tell you how therapy will go, and no therapist can promise a particular outcome.
- Credentials depend on the country
- US therapists list a state license and usually an NPI number. Therapists and counsellors in the UK and Australia list registration with a professional body, such as the BACP in the UK or ACA in Australia.
- We are independent
- This directory is not connected with any government, veterans' or military organisation, and a listing here is not a referral from one.
- This is not a crisis service
- If you need help now, the numbers for the US, the UK and Australia are at the foot of every page.
